▪ Submerged Belt Conveyors are meant for hot ash collected from travelling grate of Boiler furnace.- ▪ Ash is collected in trough filled with water where belt is fixed inside trough to carry wet ash on belt.
- ▪ Hold down wheel arrangement is provided at entry and exist points of belt to retain the belt to troughed shape.
- ▪ These wheels are free rotating avoiding belt slippage and reduce friction with belt to avoid damage to belt.
- ▪ Trough is fabricated out of suitable plates with stiffeners to withstand heat and erosion / corrosion due to stored water.
